Basement Family Room

This page may take some time to load, so please be patient. To see larger versions of the pictures, click on them. This family room and connecting areas are less than a year old. High ceilings!

This family room is in our first walk-out basement. The door leads to a small deck under the main deck. This is a large area, which opens to both a kitchenette and the computer hall that leads to the basement bedrooms. You can also see the fireplace to the right, which now has the custom oak mantel installed (see below for pictures).

Another view of the family room. In these you can see part of the custom bookcase and the fireplace before they were recently finished. Beautiful design with excellent workmanship. The top layer of the bookcase has glass to protect all your favorite books. (SEE BELOW) Plenty of room for hundreds of books and DVDs.

A view of the soon-to-be finished fireplace. (We'll have to move the picture up!)

Some better views of the custom bookshelves before they were fully in.

Below see the finished fireplace mantel and the bookcase.

The adjoining computer nook/hallway that leads to the downstairs bedrooms. To the right you can see an entertainment center nook for all the DVD players, GameCube, etc. They all connect at this central spot to leave the space below the TV clear, though you can connect at the TV as well, if you prefer.
